Larger Recycling Bins Headed to Grosse Pointe Park

Grosse Pointe Park will soon offer residents the opportunity to purchase larger recycling bins on wheels. The city must buy the bins from the distributor in lots of 200. A group of residents is collecting names so the city will have 200 buyers for the first purchase. If you would like to add your name to this list, respond to this post, or email Laurie@AroraForGPP, or call me at 313-204-5452 and leave your name and phone number. You can also call city hall at 313-822-6200. City Manager Dale Krajniak estimates the new bins will cost around $65 each.

The city can now offer these larger recycling containers because it changed recycling contractors from Tringali to Rizzo. Rizzo is willing to utilize both the larger bins and the smaller ones.
